Wizard creates applications without any programming. A series of

Database
The PDE's relational database
is implemented specifically for the Palm OS. The data is stored
compactly and accessed quickly. This structure support large
databases with tens of thousands of records.
In addition to instantaneous
random access, the PDE's Search Engine supports fast, unstructured
searches of the databases.
The loading of data in the Palm OS® units is optimized for large datasets and can transfer several hundred thousand bytes per minute over a serial connection. It is now feasible to have large datasets in your palm.
Communications
A HotSync® conduit is provided with the PDE software which supports the transfer and receipt of files in CSV (comma separated format). This industry standard format is easily imported and exported into host databases including Oracle, Sybase and Access.
The Enterprise version of PDE
includes the RF-TP Client for Palm OS.
RF-TP supports data synchronization
over multiple concurrent TCP/IP connections.
Integration is also available with Aether Software's Scout Sync product and Synchrologic's iMobile product. Use of the PDE software with these products requires an Enterprise license.
Custom Plug-ins
Custom plug-ins are supported to provide for special processing, such as printing, custom validation, interactive communications, and special logic modules.
The plug-ins are written using the MetroWerk's CodeWarrier product, and have access to the PDE API and database system. The use of plug-ins requires a Professional or Enterprise license.
